Hot August Nights

For generations, Hot August Nights has been a mecca for motorheads, who cruise in by the thousands from all over the country for a weeklong celebration of hot rods, vintage vehicles, and all all things classic car. Hot August Nights (HAN) celebrates 34 years more than 30 years of tradition with musical legends headlining the weeklong automobile nostalgia festival dedicated to classic cars and rock n’ roll. Zero in on shiny chrome, custom paint, white-wall tires, and souped-up engines at several daily show-n-shines held throughout the area.

Reno Rodeo

Reno’s cowboy culture lives on at the century-old, weeklong, all-pro Wildest, Richest Rodeo in the West. As modern as Reno feels these days, it still proudly marches cattle up its main drag to the Livestock Events Center for ten days of PRCA-sanctioned bull riding, steer wrestling, barrel racing, and entertainment, as it has every June for more than a century. An authentic benchmark of summertime in the high desert, more than 140,000 rodeo fans descend upon the Biggest Little City in the World to watch ropers, riders, and racers go head to head in a series of action-packed events at one of Nevada’s largest and oldest rodeos.
